Is this an early Lodge?

I passed on this one today and I'm starting to regret it. It has a raised 6 on the handle and a single notch inside heat ring. It's a 1930's Lodge right? Looks to be in great condition. $25. I might have to go back for this one, but dangit, I already have 2 or 3 number 6 Lodges, a Wagner #6 and maybe even a BSR #6. None of those have the raised 6 on the handle though. Haha!

That's what I thought. Actually, this will be a good ... I'll have a single notch Lodge with a raised 6, a single notch with the six on the back, and a #6 three notch. A complete set! At least that's how I will explain it to my wife. Haha!

Spurgeon,
It you don't want it, go back and buy it for me. I'll drive over and pick it up. Save the shipping cost :)

Also, Did you know you can use Imgar without making all you posts public? Saves on some of the comments you may get. (And how would I know? made two public accidentally and had to listen to (read) the BS comments)

Jack, thanks. I'm still trying to figure out Imgur. I can't use it on my iPhone without just posting a link. To imbed the picture, I have to wait until I get to my desktop. I can use Photobucket but I'm trying to use the more forum friendly app. Still, it would be nice to post the pictures while I'm at the store to get feedback from the experts in here before I pull the trigger. Ha!

Results after lye, e-tank, Chore Boy and two rounds of seasoning ...

BTW - looks like the molder played "patty cake" with this one ... and "marked it with a 'B'". HAHA!

Also ...

I think this is interesting ... At the twelve o'clock position, it looks like something has been covered up. Not sure you can see it in these pictures but there is a slight, semi-oval shaped hump right below the notch in the ring. (Not really a hump. It's barely there, but you can see it when the light hits it right.)
