Is this BSR 3 Quart Sauce Pan With Lid Considered Hard To Find?

I am assuming this is from the Red Mountain series. Was told that it is hard to find with the original lid. How accurate is that information? Is this considered a saucepan? Stew pot? Fryer?

Pans and their lids did have a tendency to become separated, maybe DOs less often. BSR called this a stew pan and marketed them in four sizes: 3, 4, 5 and 6 qt, but cut down to just the 3 qt. and added a 2 qt. in the 1950s. If original to this pan, the lid with its large, random dimples places it earlier, probably ca. 1930s.
