Is this what I think it is?

I found this at an outdoor flea market today. I walked away from it at first, thinking there was no way it was a Blacklock but I went back at the end of the sale and got it for a reasonable price based on overall condition, even if it isn't what I think it is. After consulting the Red Book, I'm thinking it likely is a Blacklock after all. Thoughts?

It has the characteristics of that which is everyone's best guess as to what a Blacklock skillet would be. Note that even the RB doesn't go so far as to say what it shows is a Blacklock, although one might get the impression it does.

That's the answer I was hoping for. Thanks, Doug.

Thanks, Hilditch. I walked away from a lot of what I knew were good pieces today, I'm just glad this wasn't one of them.

I have one exactly like this except it has a gatemark. I consulted a friend who has worked for Lodge for over a million years and he told me that Lodge was making skillets as early as 1896. IDK. All interesting discussion. I did send them a picture of mine listed on ebay and he said it generated quite a bit of conversation in South Pittsburg! but NO ONE would come straight out to say, Yeah, it's a Blacklock. So, the grind continues.
