Well, I should have passed on this John C Johnson lid. I seasoned it a couple of times and then set it aside. This week I had some more time (wife went out of town on Thursday, HA!) so I decided to run it through a couple of more rounds.
The inside of the lid has some serious pitting, but what baffles me are the white spots on the lid. They don't look like slag inclusions. (is that the correct term?) They look like something splashed onto the lid and stained it. Any idea what the heck this could be?
