Just realized I saw another repo today ...

I posted a picture earlier today of a Griswold #0 toy skillet. It was an obvious fake. Tonight I was showing my wife the pictures I took at the antique store and realized the small Griswold corn stick pan I had seen was also a fake! Here is the picture I took:

You can compare it to what the original looks like at:

I'll call the antique mall owner tomorrow. (She's the owner of the store, not of the booths with the skillet and the corn stick pan.) She's a nice lady, I'm sure she would want to know.

You may want to be prepared for an unanticipated response. Some dealers take umbrage with customers trying to educate them.

Doug,
I think the lady who owns the antique mall would want to know. I showed her the toy skillet I posted earlier and she said she would talk to the person who rents that booth. She said she tells everybody to identify a repo as such on their price tags.

You're probably right about the owner of the corn stick pan though. His booth had a lot of cast iron in it. And his prices were very high. (That was also the booth with the chrome Griswold #8 and the Erie griddle with what I thought was fire damage (I think he wanted $50 for that one too).
