would like to get any information on this little piece I found, and this time I remembered to get some before the tank.

By the grind marks around the circumference of the lip, we can see that it was side-gated. The round area on the bottom doesn't appear to be a sprue mark. Not sure the way Vollrath attached bail handles to it DOs can be extrapolated to other shapes.

I've removed the post about this piece from the other thread and moved this response to this one. It's not necessary to have multiple running discussions about the same item.

Ok so sorry about that, didn’t think about that. So on a lot of these unmarked pieces there is really no way of knowing who made them or when.
