Lid encircled in stars

I have tripped over this picture, what appears to be a kettle/cauldron, with a curious star pattern on the lid. Can anyone ID the maker of this, and possibly the year or decade it was cast? I have never seen anything like it.

If there is no maker name or characteristics of a known maker on the underside of the lid, it will probably remain an unknown. The style of loop handle is consistent with technology first used in the early 20th century.

I think these were made across the pond. I've had a few kettles and caldrons here and there but they usually say gall instead of gal on them

Im of no help about the maker......probably will be very hard to find info, if its not on here. I think that would make a nice user skillet cover, what size is it, or did I miss it?
