Lid id

Hey guys and gals

I have this lid that I can not find in the rb or bb. It has no numbers or letters and no drip rings. Handle is tapered and looks like it was added after lid was cast. It measures 14 1/8 od and 13 1/2 for the lip. Thanks for any help.

I would say perhaps an import. With no spout cover ears, it's for a (large) dutch oven. The tapered handles are not added after the fact, but rather the handle on the pattern is hinged at the thick end so it can retract from the sand when the pattern is removed.

The grain of the casting is coarse so you are probably right.
