Very interesting.

Can you post more pictures please. I can't quite make out all the letters on the lid. A Google search yields nothing. Where did you find it? Does it have a manufacturers name, logo or city?

A few more pictures....

Anyone know what the initials, "LCSB" stand for? Maybe LODGE COMPANY SOUTH BEND(I am only guessing)?

Large heavy duty grill inside.

Lid flipped over for griddle. Notched to allow air flow for fire.

Also a guess on my part, but I would bet the LC in LCSB stands for Little Chef

Jack, did you ever find anything out about the Little Chef Porta? I picked one up at a swap meet a couple weekends ago, and couldn't find any info online. Such a neat stove. Have you cooked on it yet?

Please note this thread is over a year old and the person only made two posts ever, both in this thread, so a reply is unlikely.

Bryan, since it's a older thread start a new one. To tell you the truth even if it was made yesterday I wouldn't mind having one myself. Those are really cool,

Steve,

Wow - damaged, incomplete, and $340 after shipping.

I assume this is "ebay pricing", or are these really worth that much?

eBay pricing is what it is....As for the worth....Have no idea. Haven't done any research so can only venture. I also haven't seen any posted here on CIC but got to admit I haven't searched all the post either. 1952 was during the Korean war so it could be there wasn't a lot of them produced and/or the company producing them directed their efforts toward the war production.
