Wanted one of these for steaks, and found one, unused for $35. Most of them I see are smaller, but this one is about 13x10, not including the handle. Not sure if that was a good price or not, but as much as we cook steaks, it was worth it to me. Just unsure about how long ago these were made, as I don't see them still for sale. Any ideas? And what does the "JSO" designation mean? Thanks, in advance!

That would be "JOS", which stands for Jumbo Oval Serving griddle. Doesn't look like they are still being made, but you can still get a handleless version and the wood underliner for it. The marking on yours dates from about 1993.
 
Thank you Doug! Definitely interested in the wood tray for underneath as that did not come with this one. Is that just via Lodge's website or another seller?
