Pretty sure of this being a Lodge 3 notch, but it seems to be missing these features, listed in the "Unmarked Cast Iron Cookware" section of this site for Lodge:
- Pattern identifying marks incised at 6 o'clock or raised shift identifier on a small flat blob of metal above the size number at 12 o'clock (1940s-50s)
So I am wondering now if I am correct or if it is a fake for some reason?
I just picked it up yesterday & it has been scrubbed in hot soapy water, then a coating of Crisco on it for rust protection til I get around to seasoning it. I think I will spray it with Easy-Off & let it sit for a while to see what else comes off of it first before seasoning. I do not have an E-tank so Easy-Off is the best I can do.
Also picked up a large logo (smooth bottom) #6 Griswold skillet yesterday as well.
