Magnalite Tea Kettle

hi. I have a magnalite tea kettle. I thought there was corrosion on the inside bottom, and scoured it. the spot got bigger, and now I am wondering if the bottom has a core of copper, or some material other than the aluminum/magnesium material, and that was what I was confusing with corrosion. thanks for any info.

No, just aluminum, which is very conductive, so there wouldn't be a need for a copper ply.
