My First Goodwill CI Keeper - Muffin Pan W/ Gate Mark

I have not been in the hobby for long and I am trying to not to be a collector just a user but you know...

I went to my local Goodwill to find a glass lid I could use on a #8 skillet to help keep the oven top clean and I found my first bit of cast iron there. Someone used it for a candle holder but it only has a little bit of rust.

A interesting thing about this pan is the handle on the left looks like it was broken and repaired with cast iron. Then I looked on completed ebay listings and found one that looks just like it. So I guess it was made like that?

Brian, I really like gem pans, and this is one I haven't seen before. I hope someone else on the forum may be familiar with it, but there is also lots of helpful info. on this site concerning unmarked CI pieces, and also on gem pans. Close reading is usually quite productive as DougD has assembled a great deal of reference material here. I bet your pan will prove to be to be a very useful item whatever its origin may have been.

A slice of ham on each cup crack an egg on each.a slice green pepper some shredded cheese some tomato on top,10-15 on the oven, and enjoy for dinner with some toasted bread, and maybe a white whine glass,
