Need help identifying Skillet and Lid

I have this deep skillet and Lid with the only markings is a "X" on the center underside of lid and a V on the underside of handle.
Here is some pics of the Skillet and lid.

Any help determining the manufacturer and age would be helpful.

Carl, I couldn't bring up the pictures of your deep skillet and cover, but if the skillet has a round hanging hole in the handle, you could have an unmarked Wagner from the 1920s-30s.

This skillet is completely unmarked, but the cover for it does have an X centered on its underside. The letter on the handle could be a mold mark. The one I have is marked as you describe yours, and you can see it at the bottom of page 28 of the "Red Book" (The Book of Wagner and Griswold").

It looks very much to be an unmarked Wagner Ware skillet.
