New collector...first find

I found a small CI pan in a local antique shop earlier this week. He had a Wagner that he insisted was highly collectible and a steal at $48 because it had the instructions for seasoning the pan engraved on the bottom. Very, very rare he assured me. Highly sought after. That didn't sound legit to me, and when I looked it up when I got home it confirmed that that pan was made in the late 1980's and has zero collectible value.

This one small pan looked interesting. The build up on it was too thick to see any markings on the bottom. It was $5, so I figured what the hell...worst case scenario is I get some good practice restoring a really crusted piece.

Three days in the lye tank, and I discovered I had a Wagner when it came out.

Those earlier ones are nicely made little pans. The walls and lip are thinner than the later ones. Barely noticeable until you have the other to compare.
