New find

Found this deep chicken fryer w/lid yesterday in a local pawn shop. They wanted $25 but I got it for $15. It appears to be a Lodge, based on the three notches in the heat ring. Just wondering if that's correct and if the lid is original or was added sometime in the past.

It looks to be in good condition except for VERY heavy crud and it's in the "bath" as I post. Any ideas on value/price?

Yes, that is an older (1950's) Lodge and that is the correct lid.

Very nice user at a good price..

I'd say 1940s on the pan, based on the raised molder's mark. If the lid has one, too (just a raised letter, not on a blob), it probably was purchased with or around the same time as the pan; later if not.
