New skillet ID

I just got this one from my mom. Never had seen it before or know where it came from. It has a different shaped handle and a B on the bottom with the old strip casting mark. May not be able to find out the maker, but I would like to try. At least find an approximate age. THANKS

Pans with gatemarked bottoms are typically impossible to ID, unless a name is on them.

I sorta figued that might be the case, but it never hurts to try. Got any ideas on approximate date of mfg?

Was something ground off the bottom at 6:00?

Nothing ground off this one except the gatemark from factory. This one was seasoned, but needed to be re done. There was no rust showing. When I used the hd easy off, the inside and outside wall had light flakey rust from 9 to 3 o'clock. I'm working on that now to get it ready for seasoning. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the rust completely?
