New Style Griddle

I do believe I have a New Style Griddle, made by Lodge. Looking in the RB, pg. 231

Only problem is that the RB is listing the markings on the back being
BELKNAP, 9 Raised molders mark. My Griddle only has a molders mark P.

3 photos to the right. Before and after

Note; lady that I purchased it from tried to sell me art not a griddle. I told her that the art was going down the drain. So did her price.

Not having the RB handy, looks sufficiently Lodgey to me :)

Nice looking griddle. I have found quite a few great pieces that were painted. They come out fantastic because (1) they weren't used to cook on, and (2) were usually kept in good conditions as a display piece, e.g. hanging on a wall in a house as opposed to sitting in a barn for 50 years.

It is funny, but the lady that I purchased it from tried to sell me art not a griddle. I told her that the art was going down the drain. So did her price.:chuckle:

Congratulations, it's beautiful ... The "after-art" I mean. LOL I have one like this en route to me as well. Can't wait to get it in hand to get busy with it. :chuckle:

Art work down the drain. Looks like my cooking surface was never used. That is what I was hoping when I purchased it. I had seen it in an antique shop 6 months before, but was not interested in her art work, also in mushrooms.

Beautiful griddle! I believe your griddle is a Lodge and was most likely made for Belknap Hardware. Back in the day, they were a major competitor of Sears, MW, etc.
