I find myself finding all kinds of different things, and I try and research but have a hard time confirming what i'm finding. I found a few today and I was wondering if i could get some help identifying. also any help on value is appreciated.

First one I think i know what it is, 3notch Lodge from 1960's??

This one is also a 3 notch but i cant find any markings and the handle looks different than the other 3 notch, so im not sure

this one is a smooth bottom #8, again cant find any other markings but wasnt sure if the handle provided clues? it kinda looks Wagner to me? but all the unmarked wagners ive seem usually have a size and say skillet, and some say made in usa but i dont see any markings on this one.

this one is a small, close to #3 size, cant see any markings because the bottom has a THICK layer on it, but the cooking surface seems smooth, and not warped, i kinda want a small one to hang on my mancave wall so since its cheap i thought i would take a chance and see whats under the gunk, didnt buy it yet because i was curious if the unique handle provided any clues as to who made it.

Thank you for any info anyone can provide! I am new and hate to keep asking questions, i research as much as I can, and the BB is on my want list!

Second #3 is an Asian copy of the Lodge. Third one looks like Wagner to me, too, but I'm not certain. Don't know and won't hazard a guess on the last one, but it looks like a quality skillet.

3rd is unmarked Wagner. Can you tell if the last one is hammered? All look like something you wouldn't want to give more than $5-10 each at a flea market. If it were me, I'd pass on all of them and tuck the money not spent in an envelope for one really good piece up the road.

Couldn't tell if the last one was hammered but I don't think so, does the handle give you any clue to maker? Also did I correctly identify the first one as a 3 notch 60's lodge? They wanted $14 for that one. What's the unmarked Wagner worth? Just curious as I'm trying to "learn"

Yes, the Lodge is ~ 1965 -1987, under $10. If you have to go home with one, it would be the unmarked Wagner #8 as a good user and for hopefully about $15, assuming you can tell if it's not cracked, warped, pitted. You know it's unmarked Wagner; hopefully the seller doesn't.

Well the unmarked Wagner was not priced, and it was sitting in a stack with the Asian copy 3notch lodge, and above them on the wall was hanging 2 Wagner ware -o- and a griswold, so I'm assuming they thought those were the good ones and the pile was junk, so maybe the unmarked Wagner would be able to be purchased cheap, maybe I will go back and check it out,

No idea on the last one? I almost bought it for $7 just to clean it up and see what's underneath the thick layer of gunk, but decided to see if anyone had a clue first

If curiosity is worth $7, but the maker is unknown unless there is marking under the crud, which I doubt.

Ok thanks for the info, maybe I will go back and just see how much they want for the unmarked Wagner and check it out further

Doug, I did some reading through this site and didn't see any unmarked Wagner without any writing on the bottom, I only found the USA, and non USA version but all had some sort of bottom writing, I looked in the store and didn't see anything and the rust and gunk didn't appear thick enough to hide anything

So the pie logo ghost would be Wagner using older molds and filling in the logo to make unmarked pans, basically a way of being thrifty on their end?

I just answered my own question in your ghost mark article

Kevin, will you tell me how you identified that 2nd 3-notch as Asian made? Was it the handle?

Doug, I went back and asked what she wanted for the unmarked Wagner, $10, I placed it on the glass case and it had slight movement but not much and only in one direction, no cracks and rust appears to be surface, wiped easily with my finger, worth it at this price to clean up and use or resell after cleanup for a few extra dollars?

Restored and ready to use, it should be worth more than $10, how much more depends on to whom.
