Newbie question - cooked too early, stuck food

I just picked up a new Lodge skillet and seasoned it once before cooking (I now know I should have likely done this a few more times). I cooked a ground beef recipe and have some residue that is very stubborn. I am hesitant to really go at it being so new to this, I don't want to mess up the existing seasoning, damage the pan, etc. I may be worried too much, but early one I just want to get it right. Can someone tell me the best approach to getting this residue off?

The photo link does not work. I would suggest, though, just simmering 1/2" of water in it to soften the residue so you can then scrape it off with a preferably non-metallic spatula. Let it cool completely before doing anything further.
