Newbie skillet question

Trying to purchase a Griswold 11 1/4 double pour lip cast iron skillet. It has the Griswold logo but I'm not sure when this may have been cast. Can anybody help identify this? Thanks.

This pan was made after 1960 and after Griswold had been acquired by the company which already owned Wagner. It was actually cast in the Wagner plant in OH from a Wagner pattern altered to add the Griswold TM.

Thanks for your response. With the research that I did this evening, I didn't think this was a vintage skillet. In your opinion, do you think it would be worth $40 to use in the kitchen?

Thanks

To use it on the kitchen is a good skillet, a new lodge skillet is cheaper and same quality.the most I would pay for that griswold is $10,

If only a good user you're looking for, you might save some money and pick up a Lodge or BSR from the 1950s or earlier for much, much less. Basically unmarked, they offer performance but fly under the radar of sellers who think Griswold = gold.

See: http://www.castironcollector.com/unmarked.php for some info on how to spot them.

What was the clue in the photos that this Griswold was made after Wagner bought them out? Was it the size marking under the logo? (Just trying to learn here....)
