Guys and Gals,
I am new to this forum but I have always had love for old and interesting things. What brought me here was a set of my wife’s old cast iron cookware. It obviously was used outside on stoves because the creosote was almost a quarter inch thick. I finally decided to clean it up and it took 5 cans of Oven Off and a lot of elbow grease to get to metal. Everything was USA but didn’t have any sort of markings but for one. This one is a #8 skillet and a has a heat ring with notches at the 12, 3 and 9 o’clock position. The #8 is at the 12 position and right above it are the letters “BM” and below the 8 is “SK”. I was just hoping someone could shed some light on this. Just to add though is that the family came from Eastern Tennessee and Alabama. Thank you,
Philip
