Thought I would share some additions that I picked up today. It's not too often that I have a few hours to spare without the kids (all four of 'em!) but I had a few hours today and hit up a few local antique stores.

Here is what I picked up (from left to right in the attached photos)

1. Griswold EPU large logo #5

2. Griswold EPU large logo #6

3. Victor #9 fully marked

4. Griswold EPU slant logo #9

Second Photo:

1. Wagner Ware Sidney -O- Stylized High Logo, smooth bottom #8

2. Unidentified #8 with gate mark, thinking perhaps an old Atlanta Stove Works or BSR?

3. Griswold cornbread skillet

4. Unmarked #5 - full of crud, the only thing I can make out is a "5" on the handle

5. Unmarked #5, also full of crud

6. BS&R #8 - I already have one of these but I picked this one up to give as a gift.

I'm extremely excited about the Griswold pieces - up until today, I only owned one other Griswold (small logo #6).

These pieces didn't come cheap - the total cost for all 10 pieces was around $160, but I'm excited to get them stripped and re-seasoned. All of the Griswold pieces are in incredible shape - little if no pitting, and all sit flat with no spinning, wobbling, and no cracks.

If the 4 on the left are undamaged, they're worth about what you paid for all 10.

I scoured it pretty closely looking for damage, looking for hairline cracks, pitting, fire damage, warping, wobbling, etc... and I can't find anything wrong with it. I was extremely surprised to see what great shape all of the Griswold pieces were in. Only the #5 has one minor pit on the bottom. The slant logo #9 is in the electrolysis tank as I type this - within 2 hours, 90% of the crud was removed with the battery charger pulling around 7 amps (to be honest, there really wasn't much crud on it to begin with). I was able to negotiate 10%-15% off of the four Griswolds and the Wagner Ware. The prices on the receipt for these 5 pieces are: $27, $22.50, $29.75, $10.62 (the WW), and $38.25, but not sure what price I paid for each.

The older #8 with the gate mark has a hairline crack near the handle, but that's the only damage that I can see on any of the pieces. It also has a very slight spin\wobble, but I've always been interested in picking up a piece with a gate mark, and the price was right.

Thanks for allowing me to share!
