No. 2 Iron Kettle: Full Width Gate Mark, with an "L" (I think) Within a Diamond: Who, Where & When?

I was looking for something else in my storage locker; this rolled to the top. I don't recall how I acquired, or even when.
It's age is apparent, from exterior and interior condition, as well as the gate-mark.
I hope some of you will have knowledge about it.

I would guess Diamond L is the makers mark from the Law foundry in Glasgow. John Law 1852 to the 1910s. hard to identify an exact age.
