no 3 hammered skillet

small hammered no 3 skillet similar to the one pat has. handle with a dot at the top and no heat ring and the handle is much smaller. old lodge?

Hammered Lodge is typically seen with the smaller, more dense dimpling. I also don't think Lodge ever had an incised size number on the handle tops, only raised, if at all. Other than the CHF marked with the 8s and 9s, IDing a lot of these unmarked hammered pieces is virtually impossible.
 
yes I read the posts. I wish someone new how old and who made them. they look very much alike. I like them just cause there hammered.
 
Hammered was popular in the 1940s, which is when most of the known stuff can be dated. The assumption is that the unknowns are from that time period as well. If they are flat, uncracked, and polished smooth, they're worth considering as collectibles and users, even if we don't know who made them.
