Not sure about this diamond-shaped Griswold

Never seen anything like it before, I'm new to collecting and I usually just do pans.

When is the era? What is it worth? I wonder if I paid too much :)

The little pans I do believe are ranging from 1939-1944 for the smaller #3 and #5 and later 1944-1957 for the #6

It wasn't necessarily law that pans had to have such inscribed on them. Paper labels or cartons indicating country of origin were sufficient to fulfill the requirement. These pans being marked Erie, PA, however, date them before the acquisition of Griswold and the moving of casting operations to Ohio. More likely it like the skillets dates from 1940s to 1957, the later part of that timeframe for the grooved handle.

Only the #6 has the grooved handle, the #3 and the #5 have the older 1939-1944 handle.

I was curious about the square skillet, since I just don't see that many... in all honesty I forgot it was in the lot I purchased! It doesn't have "utility" on it like some do.. maybe that is where the mixup was.

Good to know... I probably paid what they're worth overall, and got a lot of other junk in the mix for the lot (there was some camping dutch ovens and kettles as well, pretty sure one is not old and another one was so new it still had a tag and said made in china haha)
