Number 2's & 4's?

Something that I have noticed: I never see any #2 and #4 skillets. I have tons of 0"s, 3's, 5's, 6's, 7's, 8's, 9's and 10's but no 2's and 4's. Anyone know why?

They were in-between sizes that were not all that different from a 3 or a 5. Consumers buying skillets open stock knew this and purchased fewer of them than those other just-as-useful but not all that different cost-wise sizes. Fewer bought meant fewer made and sold. The result today is that they are more rare and therefore more valuable as collectibles.

Thanks for the info Doug......makes sense what you said. Guess Ill have to keep an eye out for unmarked smaller sizes too from now on.
