OK to Use a Wire Brush in a Drill?

I have a pan with some metal crispies above the pan surface. I'm talking the cooking side the pan.

I could wire brush it, or sand it in some fashion, taking care to not heat the pan in the process.

Any concerns?

I would not use that on cast iron with any collectible value, particularly not on factory polish ground surfaces. If it leaves marks, it kills value.

It's a 10" Gris in good shape

Need a photo. Griswold skillet cooking surfaces should not have anything in need of grinding off.
