Perfection brand. A Martin Precursor?

I found a Perfection. Reading on the site, it looks like it was made by Martin, however it doesn't appear to have much in common with my Martins and it is not nearly as heavy. Is that consistent with the Perfection brand? If anyone was wondering, it was $10 out of a storage locker.

Perfection was a branding used by Martin Stove & Range Co. Although there are Martin catalogs showing quite a full line of pieces as being Perfection, the piece you have there seems to be about the only one that ever turns up marked just Perfection. I have one of the same, and note it is shallower and a bit smaller than other #8 regular skillets, causing me to wonder if it was not produced as an economy piece. The RB also only shows this one piece so-marked, and dates it to 1910. Pieces shown dated later are marked Martin Perfection or Martin's Perfection, and they appear to be part of the regular line.
