i can't figure it out. What it the concentration of my lye solution? 2 lbs in 10 gallons of water? 20 gallon Brute is the container. Trying to determine whether I can leave it outside for the winter. The freezing point curve of lye is strange.

Same for the electrolysis solution, 2 TBLS per gallon. 15 gallons in the 20 gallon Brute trash can. think this one will overflow if it freezes.

I also do my cleaning outside. I would advise you to empty your electrolysis can and store it. The solution really should be changed out and it is very cheap.

Doug is right that your lye will also freeze. However I also use a brute and have left mine outside for the past two winters. I have 20 gallons and usually half freezes in the harshest weather. No damage to the Brute.
