Please help me ID this No 7 skillet

Hi,

Newbie here. I picked this up yesterday. I have scrubbed it a little and the only marking I can find is the 7 on the top of the handle. The bottom has a raised heat ring around the outer edge. I have scrubbed off enough crud that if there were more markings, I think I would see them. I thought maybe a Vollrath, but the handle doesn't look like it. Any help in identification of this skillet would be more than welcome.

I am looking to set up a lye bath tank and an E-tank in the near future so that I can really clean these well. I have been reading the info on here and would also welcome any wisdom from those who have done this and have anything to share.

Thanks for your time,

David

Looks like an early unmarked Wagner. The 7 on the top of the handle suggests it was made after Wagner started putting the c/n on the bottoms of skillets and moved the size number to the handle. That and the heat ring would place it ca. 1924 - 1935.

Thanks so much for the info. I very much appreciate the expert opinions. New ID request from one of yesterday's picks coming momentartily.
