Pls id: outer heat ring, handle has number and letter, handle is reinforced with rib

Hello,

I am trying to id this no-name #3 skillet. The top of the handle is marked with a number and a letter. The bottom has an outer heat ring but no other markings. The handle is an older style with a reinforcing rib.

Is there a name for the reinforced rib handle style?

You help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Based on the handle and the thickness of the heat ring I'd say it's a Piqua.

Looking at your photos, I believe you have a Vollrath. But I have never seen a letter on the top of the handle.

Yep, Vollrath. The rib on the handle going all the way to the eye and the heat ring are pretty distinctive.
