Popover Pan - Real or Not

This is the second time I posted on this piece of CI. I finished cleaning and have questions about it. In the last post, someone thought it might be a knockoff. I am not so sure. I compared it to a popover pan in the RB on the bottom of page 162 and top of page 163. Due to pitting, parts are hard to determine. It appears to have two dots under the o in No 10. ERIE is on one end and No 10 on the other. Is it real or not?

A recast would most likely have gatemarks on the bottom. A copy by a competitor competent enough to side gate it would probably have covered the Erie. Best guess is it's genuine and the markings are eroded from pitting. The two dots under the o make it a moderately rare variation 5.
