Possible BSR Waffle Iron?

Hey all! I am hoping you can help identify this waffle iron. When I first purchased it, I believed it to be a Lodge circa 1930's. I found a couple of pieces online that matched the shape and style but those had the LODGE brand at the top center whereas mine does not. I then ordered a low base that was listed as fitting a Lodge No 8 waffle iron but it did not fit mine. The width was just about right but the knuckle was smaller than the hinge section on my iron.

I have now stumbled upon a Birmingham Stove and Range Red Mountain series catalog which showed a picture of the waffle iron they used to make. It looks a lot like the one I have. That catalog can be found here (next to last page in the PDF).

Here is a picture of mine.

And here is a complete set I just found (and did not purchase) today.

So do you think I have a BSR waffle iron or no?

Yours looks like an unmarked Lodge. I believe that they made two different hinge styles, explaining why yours doesn't fit.

Ah, that could explain it. Definitely got excited when it matched the BSR catalog but I also can't deny it looks exactly like other Lodge waffle irons that I have seen. I'll keep searching for a Lodge base and hope I come across the right one.

A small detail, but the holes in the Lodge handles form a spiral effect the BSRs' don't. As well as other characteristics that obviously differ when compared side-by-side.

Yeah, looking at them side by side you can definitely see a difference in the handles. I can see the handle style matches more of the iron stamped with the name instead of mine. Well, time to go back for BSR....

And to find a matching Lodge base.

I appreciate it guys!
