Ebay currently has a pan with this description.

RARE ERIE NO. 7 PORCELAIN BLUE & WHITE CAST IRON SKILLET PRE GRISWOLD- HEAT RING

Is this an original?

I don't see a similar picture on the web site.

seller claims you can read the 'erie' under the porcelain... but I can't see it from their pictures. but looking at the handle and rib and reinforcement pad it looks like an early erie... there were a lot of cast iron foundries experimenting with enamel finishes... vollrath was doing it earlier than most others... could have been a test... or shipped off to a third party to enamel. interesting.
