Question About a Flea Market Find

Looking for a BSR #14 that I should have bought yesterday, I found a Griswold #8 Dutch oven with a lid. My question is, is this the right lid, if not, what is it? I don't see any markings but they may be under the crud.

The lid is Wagner. There are no markings.

Thank you sir, that's what I thought but I wasn't sure. It fits perfect, but I will probably use an Iron Mountain #8 high dome lid that I got from my mom with a BSR 8-B chicken fryer. I'll use the Wagner lid with a Wagner Ware #8 skillet to fry bacon.

Is there any way of knowing what time period the lid is from?

After the full writing top lids and the ringed top lids, but before the switch to glass in the mid-1950s. Late 40s - early 50s.
