Hi to all, the reason I joined is I had questions about a dutch oven pot that I have had for over 40 years. It was my mother's. It has the arched Wagner ware (with the one W),Sidney O at the top and on the bottom it has the R circled then under that it says Magnalite and on the bottom a number: 4248P I didn't see anything with all of that information on the site and am curious as to what it all means. I know ther R circled is trademark! If anyone can give me any information I would really appreciate it!
Thanks , Kateecookin

Magnalite was Wagner's trademarked name for their proprietary alloy of magnesium and aluminum. The 4248P is the catalog number, so that means yours is the 5 qt round dutch oven. The P would, on cast iron ware, be a pattern identifier, but on Magnalite, there only ever seems to be an M or a P, the reason for which is uncertain.
