I have a trivet for my newer Lodge DO #8.....its in fine shape, but I scoured it with a Brillo pad, now its kinda down to the bare Iron. What is the best way the season it? Just like you would a skillet? This is the only one I actually cook with.
Not sure about your lodge, but I have an old cast iron trivet and gave it same treatment as the pans, lye, etank, then seasoning with crisco. Turned out just fine. Good luck with your project.
