Sidney Hollow Ware

I have two pans that I believe are precursors to the Sidney Hollow Ware line. They just say "Sidney O" in cursive text. I recently acquired a Sidney Hollow Ware #8 that has the traditional block lettering, but I can faintly see the ghost/shadow of the original "Sidney O" cursive so it seems that an old mold was reused.

Does anyone know how old the "Sidney O" pans might be? I haven't seen too many for sale, so I have assumed that they are fairly rare. Would I be correct?

Thanks,

John

The various SHW markings can be see in the list here:

Only in business as SHW for a relatively brief time, it's uncertain how long each of the marks were in use. The script, however, is the oldest of them. It appears SHW founder Philip Smith did not resume the manufacture of hollow ware after he bought his foundry back from Wagner.
