Smart's Brockville skillets w/ wooden handles

Greetings. I am new to this forum and cast iron collecting. I have checked the wanted adds here and two skillets caught my attention from one seller. They are Canadian from a company called Smart's Brockville and they are a No.60 and a No.80 and they have wooden handles. They look to be in pretty good shape.

From my research they are around the 1942 vintage, he is asking for $50 Cdn for the two. Not sure if that is a great deal but i will be viewing them on Sat so will keep you posted.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That's about $38 US for what I guess is equivalent to a #6 and a #8 in size. If they're not warped, cracked, pitted, and the handles are in good shape (not a fan of wood handles), and you want them, go for it. I've seen some of these that look plated (probably nickel). If so, the condition of the plating would also factor in.

Thanks Doug and I appreciate your response, I will look at them closely and perhaps barter to get a better price if I want them. I just purchased a very good condition Griswold #8 skillet large block from ebay. Now I am hooked.
