Some Canadian Cast Iron

Thanks! I was excited to see that the lettering and logo on the bottom was still mostly intact. The pan sits very flat too!

Thanks for the website with info on the GSW brand. I know of another pan, I think a number 10, that I'll be looking at today.

The discoloration you mention could be from the country cleaning method of putting the pan in a campfire or whatever and heating the heck out of it. Going too far really cooks the iron and will cause discoloration. Also, I've buffed logos with a wire wheel to see what the wording was and found that when the pans were cleaned and seasoned, the buffed areas were shinier then their surroundings.

Here's a McClary skillet I've got, that according to the website, predates the GSW. Maybe 1927 tops?
