Stove Top Flame Spreader No Griddle Here!

Is there anyone that has any information on what I think is a stove top flame spreader. Myself not being of the age of cooking on the old kitchen stoves, know nothing about it. Not sure if it was a wood or gas stove. I will say that there was not a lot of soot on the underside.

Very interesting Doug. Any value to it, there is a crack, but can be fixed. Just not sure if it is worth it.
