On Saturday the 8th of September my better half and I went for a road trip to Freeport Illinois.
As some of you may know I purchased a Stover waffle iron about a year ago. Ever since then I have been trying to get some history about it, the year made being a big part of my search.
On Saturday we got out on our mini adventure. After asking a few people I came on a shop that had people who grew up in the area. There was a girl who ran the shop, she said her dad would know. Not only did he know the name he also told us we were not far from what was left of the original factory!
After getting the directions and a brief city history lesson I went on my way! I now present to you what is currently left of the Stover manufacturing company.
