I found this griddle completely covered in thick orange rust, so I'm not sure if I made these marks or not. I didn't notice them until after I took the piece out of the oven the first time.

It has gone through two rounds of seasoning after electrolysis and vinegar bath, and holding at 500* for one hour before the first round of seasoning. After that my seasoning procedure was 225*F 10 minutes, applied Crisco, buffed off, 300*F 10 minutes, buffed again, 400*F 45-60 minutes.
But these shiny spots refuse to accept seasoning. Cooking bacon or whatever won't work because they are not on the cooking surface. Is there something different I can do? Do I just need to season this thing 10 times?
