The downside of buying the RB & BB

After a quick look through my just delivered RB, I noticed a set that I had and tossed when we bought the current house. I was dumping stuff that I hadn't used in years. Now I find it on page 41 of the red book. They were the triplicate sauce pans and were in very good condition. I hope that the recyclers appreciated them. Oh well.... :frown:

You can let yourself off easy, bet it will not happen again.

Buying and selling antiques is not all that easy. I have purchased things from shops, estates, dealers, pickers, collectors, and regular folks. Do you want to know how many times that I have purchased something from one of the above, that they did not know what they were selling. I lost count. I do not sell something until I did my research, or I get tired of seeing it.

I will say this, not all the time I know that I have a winner, just that it is odd and I like odd.

I hope Jeffrey reads this post because he razzed me about shopping at the scrap yard. :)

Everyone needs to get razzed once in a while Bonnie, that was your day. When I was around 19 - 20 years old I worked part time at an auto and metal scrap yard. I just I was into collecting cast iron back then, instead I was into my street legal, set up for race 4x4 truck that would do 75+ mph on the beach. No one could touch me.
Yes, scrap yard shopping still is a good thing.:icon_thumbsup:

Like when dinosaurs were still around..... He's still trying to survive the "Ice Age" over there!

Thanks Rick. Lets just say, I am at the age that the hair on my head started growing back after the kids went on their own. And for the "Ice Age," a lot better that the Heat Wave.:icon_rofl:

I will say, it must be nice to have water. :-\

Maybe I should have sent you water instead maple syrup.

We are waiting for the fields to dry out a little, but I see a lot of green grass, and 3 deer all happy.
