I don't know what is wrong with the picture on the home page. I have been trying to figure it out. Did Griswold make a slant logo chicken fryer? If anyone knows the answer I would like you to solve the mystery.

I didn't know the answer but I found this by clicking on the home page picture and then finding it in the list of Griswold pans:

"Griswold had moved their skillet heat rings to inset before the end of the Erie period. This deep skillet was apparently made from a ca. 3rd series deep Erie pattern to which the Slant Erie markings were applied."

Thanks, now I will be able to sleep tonight. It was bugging me.

Just tormenting. My knowledge of Griswold would fill a thimble.

My knowledge of Erie is slim. After some studying I a see that I should have recognized the partial ribbed handle and lack of reinforcement as a Series #3 Erie. I think? I don't know.
