The Western Foundry Co., Chicago

I normally do not buy from eBay simply because of S&H cost and if I bid it is usually a low bid or "Free Shipping" on a reasonably priced item.
I got a little carried away this past week and ended up purchasing three items of which interested me.
Attached is a "Mi-Pet" Chicken fryer (by Western Foundry Co., A Cigar Ashtray by same company and a #3 Griswold (compliments "CLIFF CORNELL) , THE CLEVELAND FLUX Co.. Cleveland 13 Ohio skillet.
With exception to the Griswold piece I didn't find a lot of info on the Western Foundry Co. other than a couple post here on CIC other than Dan Farmer (9/29/2015 & JMoss 5/27/2016). Both are good post for educating on the WFCo. about wwhen that company actuall went out of business. I know the ash tray isn't a cooking implement but was amazed at the detail that went into making it.
Her is the link for your viewing pleasure.

Almost forgot to add one additional reference to the ash tray I found on Google.

Hey, Michael, I think those are really nice items. I hope other folks will explicate further; the amazing combined wisdom on this site is great!

Thanks Sharon....I know the Chicken Fryer is nickel plated but when I cleaned it there wasn't a spot on it that was ugly like most other nickel plated pieces are. The inside cooking surface is also quiet smooth despite the four concentric ridges toward the middle. I am assuming they were caused by the grinding/polishing tools plus no pitting or chink marks. Think there was a bee hive type lid made for it but I am happy with the piece as is.
