Thought I had better study the "good book" today before spending any money..

There is a cool chill in the air this morning, and it feels so nice. So I thought I might lay on the porch and study the Bible, (my blue book of Griswold,) for some daily bread and guidance. Also lessons from the dark side. (Cast iron collector.com) Lessons for today. Stay away from collecting cast iron ashtrays. I have never even smoked. That Martha Stewart skillet I got out of my neighbors yard when they moved off and left it, probably wasn't worth it. Step away from the cast iron soldier toys. Griswold made mailboxes? I need several of those.. And the day rolls on...

Made me laugh "the Bible" Years age when I was putting together specification for steel beams for my jobs the salesman at the steel yard suggested that I get the "Bible" because it has all the information that I was in need of. Only thing is that it was the Green Book.

So when you have read through the Blue Book, we also have the Red, Yellow & Gray Books to enjoy. Then when you get tired of that cool chill air blowing your pages go on line to Cast iron collector.com as there is tons more info and eye candy to further your lessons.

I 100% agree with you on, "Stay away from collecting cast iron ashtrays." Your neighbors were wise, Martha Stewart skillet wasn't worth it.

45deg and misting here, snow not far off. Enjoy your day.
