I found a clerk putting these on the shelf today at the Goodwill thrift store. They were $2.99 each! First, an unknown lid for a Dutch oven possibly. Next, a Griswold 1289 Dutch oven lid.

PB, your Griswold lid is coated with enamel on the inside and was called a "clean easy" lid. It's also known as a "button lid" because of the TM on the top. Although I'm a new collector, I speak with authority on this topic because I have that lid and DO...and I bothered a lot of people to find out what it was and how to clean and season it! (Right, Doug?) :chuckle:

Thanks for the info! Got a link to show me proper way as well? I went back today, hoping for some lidless DO's to be there, but no dice.

I looked through the info on no-name iron and didn't run across any reference to a lid without some kind of drip technology on the underside. Maybe Doug can help you.
