Today's Finds

I seen a lot of iron while hunting today, but prices, and condition kept a lot of it from coming home. Found a few today I've never seen in the wild before, #14 3 notch, those things are huge, a Wapak, and some Wagner plated DO's. Did bring home these 3, I don't think I stole any of them but I don't think I did to bad price-wise...

Raised number 7 gate marked griddle. Don't know if this can be dated or who made it? Sits flat and cooking surface is smooth and flat. I checked it good with a flashlight for cracks since it's so light, fingers crossed it's still crack-less when all cleaned up. I liked the raised number and the handle. Paid $16.20

Favorite Piqua Smiley 5, sits flat, good cooking surface, also needs a good cleaning, decided since the pan was flat and in good shape I would pay the little higher price and give my smiley#8 a little brother. Paid $25.20

I sure hope you will post some pics, after cleanup ! Will these go to the electrolysis tank or the lye bath - or both ?

I dont currently have a lye bath, only electrolysis tank. I have thought about doing a lye tank but so far I havnt needed one, i havnt run acrossed any crud that a few extra hours in the e-tank and a lodge scraper and steel wool wouldnt take off.
I will definately post pictures after cleanup, I have a few more pans that i havnt gotten around to posting the results of yet too.
